Canadian model and actress Dayle Haddon, known for her pioneering work in the beauty industry and roles in films during the 1970s and 80s, has died at age 76 following a suspected carbon monoxide leak at her residence.
Haddon rose to prominence as a model in the 1970s, later becoming one of the first models over 35 to secure a major cosmetics contract. She represented L’Oréal and Estée Lauder, helping break age barriers in the beauty industry.
Her acting career included roles in various films and TV shows, though she gained more recognition for her advocacy of aging gracefully and her work promoting beauty at every age.
A preliminary investigation suggests the cause of death was carbon monoxide poisoning, though authorities are continuing their investigation.
