Rabat | July 30, 2025 —
His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, in His capacity as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, has given His Very High Instructions for the immediate dispatch of emergency humanitarian and medical aid to the Palestinian people, particularly those suffering in the Gaza Strip, according to a statement issued Wednesday by the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This initiative underscores Morocco’s firm and enduring solidarity with the Palestinian cause and its unwavering support for the Palestinian people during one of the most critical humanitarian situations in the region.
A Lifeline of Aid for Gaza’s Most Vulnerable
The total volume of the aid reaches approximately 180 tons, consisting of:
- Essential food supplies
- Infant milk and child-specific nutrition products
- Medicines and surgical equipment
- Tents and thermal blankets
- Emergency gear and logistical supplies
This comprehensive humanitarian package aims to respond directly to the urgent needs of the most vulnerable groups in Gaza, including children, the injured, and displaced families.
To ensure speedy and effective delivery, the aid will follow a specially arranged logistics corridor, guaranteeing direct and secure access to the Palestinian beneficiaries.
Royal Leadership and a Historic Precedent
This new deployment builds upon a significant Moroccan precedent established in March 2024, when Morocco became the first country in the world to successfully deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and Al-Quds by land—through Israeli territory. That historic initiative involved 40 tons of assistance, airlifted to Tel Aviv and then transported overland to Gaza.
Such efforts illustrate King Mohammed VI’s personal engagement and strategic leadership in humanitarian diplomacy, especially in times of extreme urgency for the Palestinian people.
A Consistent Commitment to Palestine
As President of the Al-Quds Committee, His Majesty King Mohammed VI has continuously demonstrated Morocco’s profound moral and political commitment to Palestine. This latest act of solidarity reflects:
- Ongoing royal dedication to protecting Palestinian lives
- A practical application of Morocco’s humanitarian values
- An effort to relieve suffering amid a worsening crisis in Gaza
The emergency aid operation is not just a gesture of goodwill; it is a strategic act of compassion, emblematic of Morocco’s proactive role in the region and the King’s status as a trusted humanitarian and diplomatic actor on the world stage.
This initiative serves as another powerful reminder that Morocco’s support for the Palestinian cause is not merely symbolic, but grounded in concrete action, innovation, and decisive leadership—at a time when the people of Gaza need it most.
