This conference- debate was led by a panel of transnational experts from the academic and intelligence world.
At the opening of the debate, several actors therefore stressed the involvement of the separatist movements and, in particular, the polisario front in the felonious networks active in the Sahel- Saharan region.
A question was asked during this council on the case of the polisario, whose members “struggle as much with the felonious groups that have the hand on the trafficking of mortal beings and stolen goods as with the terrorist cells linked to Al Qaeda.”
“The delinquency of this movement, funded by Algeria, and formerly fortified and agitated by Gaddafi to establish its influence in the region, is now a real subject of concern,” said the chairman of the Geostrategic overlook in Geneva. by Alain Jordan.
In fact, the relationship of force that has come up around the Sahara issue and opposes Algeria to Rabat has changed in nature,” he added.
