The dismantling of a terrorist cell linked to ISIS in the Sahel region underscores the vital role of Moroccan-Spanish security cooperation. Authorities detained six individuals in Madrid, Ibiza, and Sebta, while Morocco’s General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) apprehended three suspects in Tetouan and Fnideq. The cell, composed of highly radicalized individuals adhering to ISIS ideology, was reportedly planning violent acts, including threats against Western populations and the Jewish community. Surveillance revealed their active engagement in jihadist activities and incitement to violence.
