Quito – El Salvador has reaffirmed its firm support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and expressed interest in further strengthening diplomatic relations with the Kingdom.
During a meeting in Quito, Ecuador, Vice President of El Salvador Félix Ulloa met with Morocco’s Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, who was representing King Mohammed VI at the inauguration of Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa. The talks marked a renewed affirmation of El Salvador’s recognition of Moroccan sovereignty and included discussions on potentially opening a Salvadoran consulate in Laayoune.
The meeting emphasized the enduring friendship between the two nations, with both officials voicing their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation. Vice President Ulloa noted his country’s desire to work closely with Morocco on shared interests, aiming to boost collaboration and promote mutual prosperity.
