
Rabat, March 3, 2025 – Upon the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Khadija launched, on Monday in the Bouregreg district (Youssoufia) in Rabat, the national “Ramadan 1446” operation. Initiated by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, this significant humanitarian initiative is carried out on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and will benefit one million households, representing nearly five million people across the Kingdom.
This noble initiative, which has been a cornerstone of national solidarity for over 25 years, embodies the unwavering Royal commitment to supporting socially vulnerable populations. It also reinforces the deeply rooted values of humanity, solidarity, mutual aid, and sharing that define Moroccan society.
A Large-Scale Operation with a Significant Impact
With a total budget of 330 million dirhams, the “Ramadan 1446” operation will distribute 34,280 tonnes of essential food products, including flour, milk, rice, oil, sugar, tomato paste, vermicelli, lentils, and tea. The initiative specifically targets the most vulnerable social groups, particularly widows, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities, ensuring that those in need receive essential provisions during the blessed month of Ramadan.
