Charlie Kirk Assassination Suspect Evades Manhunt as Investigators Analyze Security Footage

Phoenix, September 10, 2025 — Authorities are intensifying a nationwide manhunt after the prime suspect in the attempted assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk managed to evade capture over the weekend.

Law enforcement officials confirmed Tuesday that investigators are reviewing hours of surveillance footage from multiple locations in Arizona, where Kirk was targeted during a public appearance. While he was unharmed, the brazen attack has sparked outrage among his supporters and renewed concerns over political violence in the United States.

According to investigators, the suspect fled the scene in a stolen vehicle later found abandoned on the outskirts of Phoenix. Security footage obtained from nearby businesses reportedly shows the individual changing clothes and boarding a different vehicle shortly after the attack, complicating efforts to track his movements.

“We are using every available resource to locate and apprehend this suspect,” said FBI spokesperson Daniel Harper. “This remains an active and extremely high-priority investigation.”
