Rabat, August 18, 2025 (MAP) – His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, has issued Very High Instructions to dispatch an additional humanitarian aid shipment to the people of Gaza, reaffirming Morocco’s steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian population amid worsening humanitarian conditions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates announced Monday that the relief package consists of approximately 100 tons of foodstuffs and medicines, with a special focus on vulnerable groups, particularly children and infants.
At the direct request of the Sovereign, the aid will be airlifted to ensure swift and efficient delivery to beneficiaries on the ground. This approach underscores Morocco’s commitment to providing urgent relief with dignity and professionalism, minimizing delays in reaching those most in need.
This latest initiative builds on Morocco’s consistent track record of direct humanitarian intervention in Gaza. Unlike many countries that rely on multilateral mechanisms or intermediaries, Morocco has distinguished itself by ensuring aid reaches Palestinians without media spectacle, prioritizing discretion and respect for recipients.
The Royal gesture reflects King Mohammed VI’s constant concern for alleviating the suffering of Gaza’s inhabitants, as well as his enduring commitment to the Palestinian cause as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.
By taking concrete and independent action, Morocco continues to position itself as a key regional actor in humanitarian diplomacy, translating words of solidarity into tangible support for the Palestinian people.
