
Al-Quds, March 4, 2025 – Representatives of various social welfare institutions in Al-Quds have expressed their deep appreciation for the initiatives led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, aimed at easing the hardships faced by the residents of the Holy City during the sacred month of Ramadan.
As part of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency’s food support program, Iftar Ramadan food aid was distributed to 20 social welfare establishments, reinforcing Morocco’s unwavering commitment to supporting vulnerable communities in Al-Quds. Speaking to MAP, representatives of these establishments lauded the Agency’s efforts in assisting those in need.
Widespread Appreciation for HM the King’s Support
Diaa Al Husseini, Executive Director of the “Wadi Al Joz” Charity Association, welcomed the initiative, describing it as a “noble act” that provides vital food assistance to families and social institutions in Al-Quds. He also praised His Majesty the King’s continuous support for the well-being of the city’s residents, particularly during Ramadan.
Similarly, Sara Heidaf, coordinator of the “Al-Thawr Silwan” Women’s Center, expressed heartfelt gratitude to His Majesty the King for his steadfast commitment to strengthening the resilience of Al-Quds’ inhabitants. She commended the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency for its “pioneering and commendable” humanitarian programs, which play a crucial role in alleviating economic hardships.
From another perspective, Mohammed Essaayad, president of the “Nour” Association for the Visually Impaired, extended his thanks to His Majesty the King for his High Consideration of vulnerable groups, particularly people with special needs. He emphasized that the Royal Initiatives are instrumental in providing relief to those facing significant challenges in the city.
A Lifeline for Families and Social Institutions
This humanitarian operation, which supports 20 social establishments, includes orphanages, foster homes, special care centers, and five neighborhood committees in the Old City. The initiative provides 22 essential foodstuffs—a critical contribution to families struggling with economic difficulties during Ramadan.
By spearheading such efforts through the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, HM King Mohammed VI reaffirms Morocco’s long-standing commitment to preserving the cultural, social, and economic fabric of Al-Quds while ensuring that its residents receive the necessary support to observe the holy month with dignity.
