His Majesty King Mohammed VI to Chair Religious Vigil on Laylat al-Qadr
Rabat, March 26, 2025 – The Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol, and Chancellery has issued a statement announcing that His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, may God assist and glorify Him, will preside over a religious vigil on the evening of Thursday, Ramadan 26, 1446, corresponding to March 27, 2025. The vigil, in commemoration of the blessed Laylat al-Qadr, will take place at the Royal Palace in Rabat.
The statement further explains that, due to certain constraints and difficulties related to movements and positions following a surgical procedure His Majesty recently underwent on His left shoulder, the King will perform the Isha and Tarawih prayers while seated. This is in accordance with the Almighty’s words: “Those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides.”
The religious vigil will be broadcast live on both radio and television at the time of the Isha prayer, allowing the Moroccan people to share in this sacred occasion.
The Ministry concluded by extending prayers for the continued health and well-being of His Majesty the King, invoking divine blessings for Him and the Royal Family, including HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, and all esteemed members of the Royal Household.
