Washington – US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has lauded the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in fostering peace and security on both regional and global scales.
In a press release issued Monday in Washington following a phone conversation with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, Secretary Rubio underscored the strategic partnership between the United States and Morocco. He highlighted the crucial role of His Majesty the King in advancing peace and stability worldwide.
The discussion also touched on pivotal issues, including the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, the release of hostages, and Morocco’s significant contributions of humanitarian aid to Gaza, according to the State Department spokesperson.
Secretary Rubio further emphasized the United States’ commitment to deepening collaboration with Morocco to address shared regional challenges, including leveraging the progress made through the Abraham Accords.
Both officials also reiterated the importance of strengthening trade, investment, and commercial ties to enhance economic opportunities for citizens in both nations, the statement concluded.
