Wide-ranging violations committed by the Polisario separatist front, in collusion with Algerian security apparatus, against the residents of the Tindouf camps, some of which amount to crimes against humanity, have been revealed by international human rights organizations. These organizations have directed their attention to the Polisario regarding their lack of respect for the rights of children in the camps, as they are coerced into joining the ranks of armed groups.
After reports exposed the Polisario’s sending of camp children to Cuba to instill “deviant” ideologies in them and sending them to summer camps under the banner of “Vacation in Peace,” the issue of Polisario’s human trafficking, especially of children, is once again confirmed.
“Vacation in Peace” is covered as a “summer camp,” overseen by some Spanish associations sympathetic to the Polisario, especially in the Andalusia region. Some Spanish families may adopt Sahrawi children, introducing them to animosity towards their native Morocco, distorting their identity, and instilling religious beliefs and ideological ideas held by these adopting families.
Numerous instances confirm the Polisario’s involvement in the trafficking of underprivileged children in Tindouf. The recent case involves the Sahrawi girl, Filah Mint Shahid Mint Laarousi, pressured by the Polisario to prevent her biological family in the Tindouf camps from returning to Spain, where she resides with an adopted Spanish family.
