El Arish (Egypt) – Two Moroccan military aircraft, loaded with emergency humanitarian aid for the Palestinian population, arrived at El Arish Airport in eastern Egypt on Wednesday morning. This humanitarian initiative is in line with the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, President of the Al-Quds Committee, aimed at delivering urgent humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians.
These two aircraft, carrying significant quantities of food, medical supplies, and water, will transport their cargo to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing. The operation to receive this aid at El Arish Airport was overseen by the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Cairo and its permanent delegate to the Arab League, Ahmed Tazi, along with members of the Moroccan embassy.
In a statement to the Maghreb Arab Press (MAP), Mr. Tazi emphasized that this aid reflects the unwavering commitment of His Majesty the King to the Palestinian cause. He noted that all relevant services were mobilized to expedite the implementation of this operation and the delivery of aid to the Palestinians, in accordance with His Majesty the King’s directives.
Mr. Tazi also clarified that the humanitarian aid will be handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent, which will coordinate its delivery to Palestinian territories with the relevant Palestinian authorities. He emphasized that this operation is carried out in accordance with arrangements coordinated with the Egyptian authorities, considering the security conditions surrounding the Rafah border crossing.
This generous and timely assistance from Morocco underscores the nation’s dedication to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people, especially in the challenging context of the Gaza Strip. It serves as a testament to the enduring solidarity of the international community in supporting the Palestinian cause and helping those in need during times of crisis.
